The Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce is organizing in cooperation with the Panhellenic Exporters Association of Greece a virtual forum where policy-makers and entrepreneurs will discuss how exports can help the recovery of the Greek economy.

Entitled “Exports turn Crisis into Opportunity”, the Forum will take place on December 2nd.

The event will be blessed by his Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros and will have the participation of the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Ministers of the Greek government, top bankers and entrepreneurs, heads of organizations from Greece and the US, and members of commerce, industry, and export.

“Together [with the Panhellenic Exporters Association of Greece] we say “OHI” to a misunderstood disease, to a lack of belief in Greek resiliency, to those who are mistaken as to what Greece and its people are able to produce, accomplish and overcome,” said Markos L. Drakotos, President of the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce.

“Events as this Forum, spanning from one continent to another, create one voice with a never-ending echo chanting our potential.”

The Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce was formed over 70 years ago for the purpose of promoting and strengthening the economic and cultural ties between the United States of America and Greece.

The Chamber today is a multifaceted organization that offers different things to different people and provides a network and forum for its members to meet, interact, and exchange ideas. It is a vehicle from which to gain an additional perspective.

Christina Sakellaridis, President of the Panhellenic Exporters Association said about the Forum:

“The coronavirus forced us to reconsider our strategy. However, we believe that the digital environment will be conducive to productive ideas and challenges and will create new opportunities for our exports and investments that will contribute positively to the development of our economy.

After all, as John Kennedy often said, “The Crisis in Chinese is written in 2 letters, one means Danger and the other Opportunity.“ We choose the second.”
