Leadership 100, one of the most prominent organizations advancing Orthodoxy and Hellenism in America, celebrated the 35th anniversary of its founding on February 21-24 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Florida.

His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America spoke about “philoxenia,” the Greek concept of hospitality, during the opening forum of the the 28th Annual Leadership 100 Conference.

Watch the leaders of the organization talk about the past and future of L100:

A health panel organized by pharmaceutical legend and L100 Chairman Emeritus George Behrakis featuring Drs. Harry T. Anastopoulos and George Dangas offered meaningful insights on how medical advancements and prevention can help us stay healthier throughout our lives.

Events on February 22 included a General Assembly, a lecture by His Eminence, and a luncheon and business forum addressed by George Veras. Veras is Chief Operating Officer of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and won ten National Sports Emmy Awards as a writer, producer and director of national live television events and documentaries.

Veras also produced seven Olympic Games for CBS Sports and NBC Sports.

On Saturday, February 23, events included a brunch and special forum conducted by Stellene Volandes, who became Editor-in-Chief of Town & Country magazine on March 8, 2016.

Before her appointment, she had been style director at the magazine since March 2012, shaping the fashion and society features each month. She is the daughter of long-time Leadership 100 members John and Marcella Volandes.

The day’s events concluded Saturday evening with the black-tie Grand Banquet, at which the “Archbishop lakovos Leadership 100 Awards for Excellence” were presented to Stellene Volandes and George Verras.

Leadership 100 has a great deal to celebrate as it turns 35 with over 1,000 active members, who all pledge $100,000 to the organization. The non-profit 501(c)(3) organization supports the National Ministries of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese in advancement of Orthodoxy and Hellenism and other charitable causes.
