Greek American Despina Markogiannakis, also known as “Dr. Marko” to many of her patients, has recently been named “Washington DC’s Best Dentist”.
The Chevy Chase, Maryland, dentist has received the honor for three years in a row for her hard work providing comprehensive general, implant, and cosmetic services in her native hometown.
She prides herself on putting her patients first, listening to their goals and concerns, and always working to provide a relaxed, professional environment.
Her latest achievement made the cover of Potomac Lifestyle Magazine for January, 2019.
Dr. Markogiannakis wanted to be a dentist since the third grade. She graduated first in her class from dental school, and achieved both multiple clinical excellence awards and perfect scores on the Northeastern Regional Board Exam.
She insists and assures that her staff is continually trained above and beyond the state mandates. Her skill levels are wide and varied, and she also surrounds herself with the absolute best specialists.
She is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Education Association, District of Columbia Dental Society, Greater Washington Academy of Dental Studies, and the Renaissance and Maimonides Dental Study Clubs.
“Dr. Marko” donates her time to a variety of worthy causes, including helping uninsured children.
