John Kalafatis and Andromeda Advantage Honored in New York

John Kalafatis is the CEO of Andromeda Advantage, Skyline Restoration and York Studios

Andromeda Advantage, John Kalafatis’ holding company and its employees were honored at the 2018 Queens Chamber of Commerce Annual Building Awards Gala which took place in Flushing earlier in December.

At one of the signature annual events of the Queens Chamber of Commerce, Andromeda Advantage received two awards for its new “Andromeda Advantage” building, including one for Rehabilitation, Readaptive Use/Alteration/Addition and another for Interior Design.

The Greek American CEO also received the Excellence in Construction award for the construction and design of the Andromeda Advantage Headquarters building. The holding company and its subsidiaries are a leader in consulting and management for the construction industry.

Its new headquarters is the work of  architect Gerald J. Caliendo, project designer Elenu Takou and builder John Kalafatis., The project was completed in June of 2017.

Kalafatis began his successful and wide-ranging career by founding Skyline Restoration in 1989. The Greek-American entrepreneur soon built a sterling reputation based on the work of his restoration and construction firms.

In 2017, Kalafatis broke new ground in his career, taking a huge leap into the unknown as he began the development of a one-hundred-million dollar movie studio in New York City.

Tapping into the Big Apple’s booming movie industry, he purchased the largest open lot available anywhere in the five boroughs of the City. The immense property at 1440 Story Avenue in the Bronx now houses York Studios, where Kalafatis also serves as CEO.
