President of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades arrived on Saturday in New York for the UN General Assembly and meetings with Cypriot American organizations.
Anastasiades’ week-long visit includes the keynote address at the UN on Thursday and a meeting with the UN Secretary General. He is also scheduled to meet leaders of other nations during the week.
On the sidelines of the General Assembly, the Cypriot leader will participate at the Nelson Mandela Peace Summit on Monday.
On Friday he is due to address the 2nd Capital Link Forum, before his departure on Saturday.
Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Christodoulides who will be accompanying the President will also have separate meetings with his counterparts, including Greece’s Nikos Kotzias on Sunday.
