Greek-American actor Anthoula Katsimatides has appeared in a hilarious video about one man’s battle to win back the affections of his former love.
Katsimatides appears in the charming video entitled “How to Win an Ex-Girlfriend Back, episode 1” of the Captain Sensitivity series by her friend and co-star John Solo.
Katsimatides said of the video: “He wrote this and asked me to play his ex-girlfriend Maria, with a strong Queens accent and attitude! Total throwback to ‘freestyle’ in NYC. It was so much fun collaborating with him and his crew and doing what we love.”
With many film, theatre and television roles to her credit, Katsimatides, who was born in Astoria to parents from the Greek island of Nisyros, recently appeared in the acclaimed Nikos Kazantzakis biopic directed by Yannis Smaragdis.
In an earlier exclusive interview to the Greek Reporter Katsimatides opened up about her Greek heritage and said: “My parents raised me in America to not only be Greek but to be Nisyrian. I am proud of that.”
