Thousands have lined the streets of Chicago for the city’s annual Greek Independence Day parade.
Commemorating the 198th anniversary of the Greek declaration of independence, Sunday’s parade on the Halsted Strip included floats and marchers representing churches and organizations from all across the Windy City.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel took part in the parade and wished the “vibrant Greek American community a Happy Greek Independence Day!”
