‘Greek Freak’ Antetokounmpo Named for Starting Lineup at NBA All-Star Game

The Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo, aka the ‘Greek Freak’ has made history as the 5th player in the team’s history to be chosen for the starting lineup at the NBA All-Star Game.

Antetokounmpo, who is 22-years-old, has been named to the Eastern Conference all-star team as one of the starting five players for the game which is set to take place in New Orleans on February 19, 2017.

He was selected for this honor by a combination of votes from the fans as well as his peers and the media. He got a total of 1,604,463 votes from fans, making him the first Bucks player to be selected for the All-Star Game starting lineup in 31 years!

“It’s a great opportunity for Giannis, great for our organization, great for all involved,” said Bucks general manager John Hammond adding, “He’s accomplished this and is very deserving for all the work he’s put in.”
