There are more than 200 souvlaki joints open for business in New York alone, with countless souvlaki canteens popping up all over the greater New York City area.
Although the souvlaki businesses are all owned by Greeks and offer Greek-Americans a chance to eat a traditional Greek meal, they also give non-Greeks and foodies alike the opportunity to experience a taste of Greece.
