President of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, celebrated his birthday at an event organized by the Federation of Cypriot American Organizations in New York on September 25th.
Although the President’s birthday is actually on September 27th, members of the Cypriot diaspora surprized Mr. Anastasiades two days in advance, during an event in honor of US Senator Charles Schumer.
Addressing the audience President Anastasiades said that he shares the dream of all Cypriots to see Cyprus reunited.
“For me there is one Cyprus that equally belongs to Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots,” said Mr. Anastasiades.

The Cypriot President is in New York until October 2nd to participate at the UN general Assembly as well as hold meetings with different heads of states.
