New York: 4th Greek Investment Forum Kicks-Off

4th Greek Investment ForumThe 4th Greek Investment Forum kicked-off at Sofitel hotel in New York, USA. The forum is organized annually by the Athens Stock Exchange in collaboration with the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce. Furthermore, it is supported by seven of the biggest Greek brokerage companies — Alpha Finance, Beta Securities, Eurobank Equities, Euroxx securities, Investment Bank of Greece, NBG Securities and Piraeus Securities — as well as the international investment bank Morgan Stanley.

The successful event has now become an institution and it is one of the top annual roadshows organized by the two organizations in favor of Greek enterprises, enabling them to make important contacts with representatives of institutional investment houses in the capital of the world financial system.

This year, the Greek delegation included 20 companies listed on Athens Stock Exchange, whose representatives will meet with fund managers in rooms specially designed for B2B meetings. A total of 460 meetings have been scheduled, an encouraging fact given the situation of the Greek economy.

The Athens Stock Exchange CEO, Socrates Lazaridis noted that the investment firms’ interest in Greek companies is still high and this is due to the companies’ skills, which have managed to maintain their outward orientation in a difficult environment, and operate successfully worldwide.
