Earth Friendly Products, the world’s largest environmentally-friendly cleaning products manufacturer, held the grand opening of its new East coast high-tech facility in Parsippany, NJ on Earth Day last Wednesday.
The new facility on Lackawanna Avenue has created 45 jobs and hired workers from New Jersey at a wage of $17 per hour, one of the highest minimum wages in the country.
“New Jersey was a strategic choice for EFP’s facility, as the products, proudly filled in NJ, are shipped throughout the northeast US and across Europe – showcasing the company’s commitment to carbon neutrality,” said Earth Friendly Products CEO Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks.
The grand opening attracted many local and national officials such as Parsippany-Troy Hills Mayor Robert J. Peluso, and Assistant director of the Environmental Protection Agency Jim Jones, among others. During the event the company received a certification for achieving a zero-waste operation, as well as showcased its new environment-friendly “Safer Choice” logo.
