Hillary Clinton Announces 2016 Run for President (We ran this 2 years ago)

Hillary Clinton 2016 confirmed

Hillary Clinton has just announced that she is actively seeking the Democratic nomination to run for President of the Unites States in the 2016 elections.

Although Hillary Clinton officially announced her candidacy with a video posted to her website today, Greek Reporter had confirmed and reported the Hillary Clinton Presidential run since 2013. Here’s what we wrote two years ago:

Angelo Tsakopoulos, a close friend and top political donor to the Clintons as well as the Democratic Party, confirmed that Hillary Clinton will seek the Democratic nomination in the next Presidential election.

Tsakopoulos told Greek Reporter that the former Secretary of State will run for President in 2016, putting an end to speculation over whether Clinton will make a second bid for President that has been circulating around the internet and international media.

“Hillary will be our next President and she will be a great one,” Tsakopoulos told Greek Reporter at a private gala in California this past weekend.

Asked if this was confirmed by Clinton or whether it’s his personal view, he replied, “I talk to her husband, and he confirmed it. She will run.”

Clinton’s message is targeted towards the “everyday American” and she wants to come across as the the best candidate to represent the average citizen.

The former secretary of state, senator and first lady who is seeking the most important job in the world wrote in a recent article:

“I’m more convinced than ever that our future in the 21st century depends on our ability to ensure that a child born in the hills of Appalachia or the Mississippi Delta or the Rio Grande Valley grows up with the same shot at success that Charlotte will,” referring to her new granddaughter.

The Clinton campaign’s fund-raising staff and other aides have already started working out of a new headquarters in Brooklyn and the presidential candidate will begin testing early campaign themes next week when she is scheduled to travel to Iowa and later this month to New Hampshire for a series of small-scale political events.

The Greek Connection

Eleni Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis, a former U.S. Ambassador to Hungary that was sworn into office by Hillary Clinton during her term as Secretary of State, has been rumored to participate in the Clinton campaign.

The former ambassador has very close ties to the Clintons, and she is expected to play a major role in the “Hillary for President 2016″ campaign. In the 2008 primary, Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis raised more than $1 million for Mrs. Clinton.
