AP – Police say a Greek man confronted his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend with a shotgun in a Long Island bar parking lot, shot the new boyfriend to death as the couple tried to escape and then killed himself.
It happened outside the Long Island Pour House in Port Jefferson Station around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
Frank Panebianco and Jessica Kasten, both 28, were walking out of the L.I. Pour House Bar and Grill in Port Jefferson Station at about 11:30 p.m. after dinner with friends.
Suffolk County police say Kasten’s former boyfriend, Michael Skiadas, accosted them and took a shotgun out of his car.
Police say a friend tried to calm him down, but Skiadas hit him in the head with the weapon. As Kasten and Panebianco tried to drive away, Skiadas fired twice at their car.
Panebianco was hit in the torso. Skiadas shot himself in his car.
