AHEPA in collaboration with the International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) have sent 4.5 million dollars worth of medical supplies to hospitals all over Greece.
The seventh container of medical supplies, worth around 650,000 dollars has arrived in Ioannina, northern Greece. The container includes inter alia, nebulizers, syringes and catheters.
The Supreme President of AHEPA, Phillip Themistocles Frangos stressed that austerity measures have significantly affected funds available for public health and thanked the Greek American community for their contribution.
AHEPA has raised over 500,000 dollars in humanitarian aid for people who live in Greece and are in need of financial assistance.
