National Hellenic Museum Announces 7th Kouzina Event

National Hellenic Museum (NHM) announced its 7th Annual Kouzina Event to be held Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the Museum, located on 333 South Halsted, in the heart of Chicago’s historic Greektown.

Guests can enjoy creative and delicious foods that are a “Twist on the Classic” Mediterranean ingredients, created and cooked by some of the finest chefs in Chicago. The event is co-presented by ParaMount Events, producers of the popular Chicago Gourmet event. Guests at Kouzina 2014 will experience modern Mediterranean cuisine treats along with a variety of Greek wines.

Renowned Greek author and chef Diane Kochilas will be greeting the crowd and sign
copies of her new book “IKARIA: Lessons on Food, Life and Longevity from the Greek Island Where
People Forget to Die.” Kochilas, who has spent much of her life on the island of Ikaria, is the
collaborating chef at Molyvos in New York City and has written 18 books on Greek cuisine.

Located in Chicago’s Greektown, the sleek 40,000-square-foot National Hellenic Museum is both
contemporary and timeless, connecting all generations—past, present and future—to the rich heritage
of Greek history, culture, art and the Greek-American experience. The National Hellenic Museum,
previously known as the Hellenic Museum and Cultural Center, has been fulfilling this mission since
1983.
