Greece Draws 0-0 With Nigeria in World Cup Warm-Up Match

Greece was faced with another scoreless draw in a friendly game against Nigeria at the PLL park stadium in Philadelphia on June 3. The game was a warm up for the two national teams, a few days before they depart for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Greece scored another draw against Portugal on May 31.

The match did not offer much spectacle as both coaches were careful not to overuse their players, fearing a possible injury a few days before the World Cup starts.

The 20th FIFA World Cup begins on June 12 and ends on July 13. Participating in the tournament are teams of 31 nations along with Brazil. A total of 64 matches will take place in 12 cities of Brazil. The first game for Greece is against Colombia on June 14.
