A special event in honor of Greece, “Greek Day at the NYSE,” was organized by the New York Stock Exchange in cooperation with Capital Link. As stated in the announcement on Monday the 16th of December 2013, representatives from the Greek Delegation and executives from Greek NYSE listed companies, will converge at the New York Stock Exchange Euronext official reception.
The NYSE raised the Greek flag on Wall Street and issued special commemorative medals to honor this day.
Dr. Sotirios Vahaviolos, President and CEO of the company listed on the NYSE, Mistras Group, along with Dr John Coustas, CEO of the company listed on the NYSE, Danaos Corporation, sounded the closing bell that signified the end of business for Monday December 16, 2013.
The following members of companies listed in the NYSE participated in the Closing Bell ceremony: John Calamos of Calamos Investments, Iraklis Prokopakis of Danaos Corporation, John Gafney of Safe Bulker, Aris Patrinos of Tsakos Energy Navigation, Ted Petrone of Navios Maritime Holdings, Nikolaos Tavlarios of Aegean Marine Petroleum Network, Petros Christodoulou of the NBG, Nikolaos Bornozis, President of Capital Link and Ms. Olga Bornozi, Vice-President of Capital Link along with high executives of the companies and the organizations that participated in the Conference.
