Greek Day at the New York Stock Exchange

Christopher WallsOn Monday, December 16, representatives from the Greek Delegation and executive managers from Greek NYSE listed companies, will meet at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to celebrate the 9th annual Greek Day. Greek Day will be a part of the 15th Annual Capital Link Investor Forum which will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in New York City.

The NYSE will organise an official reception in honor of the Greek mission, the companies of Greek interests, which are listed on the NYSE Euronext and the companies that will participate in the forum.

According to the organizers, NYSE will hoist the Greek flag on Wall Street and will issue  special commemorative medals in order to honor the Greek participation.

Greek businessmen and managers of U.S. and Greek institutions and banks, who will attend the ceremony, will ring the closing bell of NYSE.

John Calamos will be honored on Monday evening during the conference, “for his contribution to the strengthening of Greek-American business and investment relations.” The Greek-American investment guru is Chairman, CEO & Global Co-Chief Investment Officer of Calamos Investments and according to Forbes magazine, one of the 400 wealthiest Americans.

As reported, officials and representatives of major investment U.S. companies, as well as Greek businessmen will participate in the Capital Link Investor Forum, on Tuesday. The Greek Finance Minister Yiannis Stournaras will be the keynote speaker, live from Athens.
