American Jews Cite Golden Dawn Danger

The announcement of the American Jewish organization was released after an online article from extremists claimed that the Central Board of the Jewish Organizations in Greece created the recent anti-national hysteria against Golden Dawn, which warned the group to stay out of the affairs of Greece.

The threats of Golden Dawn against the Jewish organizations began as a response in a press release issued by the Central Board of Jewish Organizations in Greece in which they asked all political parties in the country to work together to pass a “strong and effective bill that will face the problems of racism, bigotry and anti-Semitism” while requesting the legislative action to ban the political parties that promote Nazi ideology.

The announcement also included a statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Dimitris Avramopoulos, who had given a speech at the annual AJC conference in Washington in early summer. Avramopoulos had said that, “There should be no doubt that the country that gave birth to democracy and respect for the humanity, the country that was one of the greatest examples of resistance to Nazi troops, will not tolerate and allow the return of hatred and racism.”

“GREEK GOV’T ABOUT TO FALL” – Reuters Sept 27th 2013

    Greece
may face snap elections. Prime Minister Antonis Samaras may have to
choose going to a national ballot and fears this destabilizing after a
statement from Army Special Forces telling the government to resign and
be replaced, which would suspend deals Greece had under its bailouts.
The tone suggested a direct intervention in the democratic
process which the Greek government finds very troubling.”
