Stamos Helps Teen Amputee Make Dream Trip

The Friars Foundation Annual Applause Award Gala Honoring Don RicklesGreek-American actor, John Stamos, helps people make their wishes come true. Stamos told US Weekly that he will answer a 19-year-old girl’s request, who suffers from a serious disease .

He will help Kaitlyn Dobrow make her dream trip to Disneyland to visit the “Full House” star.

He had a picture of himself taken next to the girl who is seen lying in her hospital bed in California. “I’m only doing this ’cause they asked. I said no press. but this story is a must read- plus Katie and I have a date in Disneyland,” he wrote on Instagram.

Kaitlyn was diagnosed with meningococcemia in February 2012, which is an infection linked to meningitis. The infection spread and cut off circulation to her limbs. She has undergone many surgeries which have left her without arms and legs.

“She ministers to me, it’s incredible. She’s so upbeat. She gives all of us so much hope,” her father Don told New York Daily News.

Kaitlyn’s family organized a fundraiser to cover her medical expenses. So far more than  $75,000 has been raised on the Kickstarter website, but the effort continues on a brand new website the family created itself.
