BtS’2013: Arts from the Mediterranean

BtS' 2013The festival, Between the Seas 2013, is a celebration of contemporary artistic creation of the Mediterranean and especially of performing arts. The festival will be held from July 22 to 28 in the cultural venue, The Wild Project, in New York.

Among others, the performances that are expected to constitute a pole of attraction are: the world premiere of the play, Redshift, by award winning Greek playwright, Yiannis Mavritsakis, the music and multimedia performance, Suite Camus, created by the cooperation of artists from France, Germany and Algeria, the premiere in South America of the play, Eyes, of the Arab-Hebrew Theater Center, which is based in Israel, as well as the new work of the Portuguese choreographer, Pedro Goucha Gomes, Amongst Millions, which deals with the European crisis.

Between the Seas is a unique project in North America which deals with contemporary performing arts from the Mediterranean and was founded in 2010 by Aktina Stathaki.
