Greek Tastes At N.Y. Fancy Food Show

taste like GreeceGreece will participate in the international exhibition Summer Fancy Food Show 2013, with the entries being readied by the Hellenic Foreign Trade Board (HEPO). Some 38t Greek export companies will project the official branding of the Greek food and beverage sector Taste like Greece.

Summer Fancy Food Show hosts 2,400 exhibitors from 80 countries to showcase the new trends in the world food and beverage market. It is one of the most important exhibition events of North America’s food and beverage sector and in 2013 it returns back in New York City from June 30 until July 2.

The participant companies will show off the quality of Greek gastronomic products, such as olive oil, olives, dried and canned fruits, dairy products having Greek yoghurt and Greek feta cheese as their representatives, as well as wine among others.

In the context of the activities of promoting Greek wine in North America’s market, through a program funded by the EU that is realized jointly by HEPO and the National Interprofessional Organization of Vine and Wine (EDOAO) of Greece, the show’s visitors will have the chance to participate in wine tastings of representative Greek wines in the presence of sommeliers.

HEPO, aiming at a complete promotion of the Greek companies who will participate, designs a whole plan of advertisements in American and Greek, of foreign language and trade magazines, Greek products’ presentation in an e-trade magazine, as well as tributes to Greek gastronomy, Greek wine and Greek food in general.
