Students of the Hellenic College Holy Cross, the Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Boston, chanted hymns at the scene of the tragic bomb attack.
The students chanted in Greek and English one of the most famous hymns of Christianity, the “O Virgin Pure”, as April 19 was the day of the Akathist Hymn.
Both the Archdiocese of America and the local Metropolis of Boston were immediately activated after the tragic incident which killed three people, injured dozens and woke nightmarish memories to the residents of the U.S.
Except for the students, many residents of the region gathered at the point to pray for the innocent victims of terrorism.
