Vice President of Earth Friendly Products, Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks talks about her company’s presence at Natural Products Expo West, the development of new innovative cleaning products and “A Green Story,” the movie based on EFP CEO Van Vlahakis.
Earth Friendly Products, the leader in the development and production of environmentally friendly cleaning supplies, unveiled the company’s new innovative products at the 2013 Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, CA. The new EFP creations include the Ecos Pods, Wave Pods, Oxo Brite Pods, and the ultra-concentrated laundry detergent Ecos 4x.
The EFP booth was visited by thousands of people, but the Greek and Green company also has its own celebrity fans, including Jessica Alba who made a surprise stop to show her love and support for the green products. Alba, a Golden Globe-nominated actress, also co-owns Honest, a Natural & Eco-Friendly Products brand together with her business partner Christopher Gavigan.
The exhibit took place March 7-10, 2013 and drew more than 100,000 visitors from across the industry, uniting entrepreneurs and established natural products alumni indicating a healthy market outlook for growth. “A Green Story”
” A Green Story,” the movie that chronicles the life of EFP CEO Van Vlahakis drew great attention to the Earth Friendly Products booth. The film is based on real-life events of a Greek immigrant (Van Vlahakis) who arrived in America with only $22 in his pocket and eventually founded the multi-million dollar Green company, Earth Friendly Products. A Green Story stars Ed O’Ross, Shannon Elizabeth, Annabella Sciorra, George Finn, Malcolm McDowell, Billy Zane, Alexis Georgoulis, Louis Mandylor, Debbie Matenopoulos and Alessandra Toressani. As Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks said in our interview the movie is set to hit theaters in new York and Los Angeles on April 26th, 2013.
Opening a new factory in Greece
Earth Friendly Products is owned by Greek-American Van Vlahakis who wants to show his support for Greece by creating jobs in his motherland. As Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks noted in our interview her company already has presence in Greece, and is in the process of creating a manufacturing plant in the Mediterranean country. This factory will give a boost to the local economy and will also help Earth Friendly products expand in Europe and Middle East.
