Greek Community Showcased at Tarpon Springs Heritage Museum

The Greek Community of Tarpon Springs exhibit is a crucial part of the museum.
Supported in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts organization, the Greek Community of Tarpon Springs exhibit opened at the Tarpon Springs Heritage Museum in 2010. Today, the exhibit remains a staple in the overall appeal of the museum.
The exhibit highlights the strong presence of Greek culture in Tarpon Springs and its history. Detailed accounts of everything from domestic traditions to religion to celebrations can be discovered at the museum’s exhibit.
A major focal point at the exhibit is the sponging industry as well as other maritime traditions like music and dance.
Unlike other exhibits, the Greek Community of Tarpon Springs is a permanent exhibition at the Heritage Museum.
