Obama Welcomes New Greek Ambassador Panagopoulos

U.S. President Barack Obama said America’s relationship with Greece is doing well as he underlined potential ways of new collaborations when he met with new Greek Ambassador Christos Panagopoulos.

During a ceremony in the White House, Ambassador Panagopoulos saluted the President on behalf of Greece and conveyed a message of unity and the important role of Greece as a stable ally in a key part of the world.

Panagopoulos noted that Greece isn’t alone in suffering an economic crisis while Obama referred to Greece as a “foundation stone” for the U.S. and said there are a number of ways in which the countries can work together.
