Haeda Mihaltses of Greek descent always dreamed of helping people. As Director of Communication and Governing issues, she is one of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s advisors and one of the 10 people that he meets every day.
She said she is proud of being Greek and always keeps the Greek flag in her office and draws the Mayor’s attention to Greek issues. She speaks Greek fluently, but wants to emphasize more on grammar. She greets the Mayor in Greek every morning with “kalimera” to prepare him for a busy day. Mihaltses says she is able to understand his mood the moment he enters his office.
