LONDON – Greek-American 3-meter springboard diver Christina Loukas, from Riverwoods, Illinois, showed well in her second Olympic participation, finishing 8th in the 3-meter springboard women’s competition at the London Games.
When she succeeded in advancing past the qualifying preliminary round of the women’s diving event, the whole Greek-American Community felt proud. The results weren’t as good as she hoped, but she gave her all. She may have been disappointed in her performance, but she gave Greeks around the world reason to feel proud of her effort.
