A 24-year-old high school substitute teacher was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of “sexting” with a student at Pacifica High School, including the transmission of what police called inappropriate photographs between her and the student.
Greek Vanessa Tsakrios, 24, also is accused of using text messages to exchange inappropriate photos with the student, according to the Oxnard Police Department.
Officers responded to the school Wednesday after receiving a report that a substitute teacher had been involved in improper conduct with the boy.
Tsakrios, a Camarillo resident, was arrested in Westlake Village Wednesday evening, police said.
Tsakrios, is part of a large Greek family that is reportedly very active in the local community. She’s been featured in various local news stories on Greek festivities in the area. According to students on Twitter, her father also works as a teacher in the Oxnard Union High School District.
