George Papandreou has flown to the USA in order to deliver speeches about the financial crisis in Greece. More specifically, he is going to remind American politicians of “the Greek experience of the financial reform” and “our folk’s sacrifice”.
As the President of Socialist International, he has already met the ex-President of the USA, Bill Clinton. They did not only discuss the financial problems that Greece faces, but also the general global political and economical scene.
The Socialist International has planned a meeting of its Committee members at the headquarter of the United Nations. George Papandreou is going to be the lead-speaker tomorrow; “Global Financial Issues” is the main subject of this meeting.
The breakthrough news of the EU, the impact of the European crisis on the whole world, the future prospect of the global economy and some measures that national financial organizations need to undertake, as well as a potential strategy in order to face the financial crisis, are some of the fields that the attending socialists will discuss.
Many distinguished politicians will participate in this meeting; even presidents of socialist parties, academics and economists.
