Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater NY Holds Feast of Love

Dozens of Greek-born children filled up the Stathakio Centre with their happy voices and cheers on Wednesday evening, December 28, within the event organized by the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater NY for the “Feast of Love”.

The little guests of the Federation were amused by the tricks of Magician KAMAPP and the impressive stunts of the Loupaki School, led by 75-year-old Greek-American martial arts champion Tony Loupakis.

At the end of the feast, Santa Claus showed up giving to everyone gifts, under the courtesy of the Federation. This time, Santa Claus was incarnated by well-known director and actor Leonidas Loizidis, who enjoyed his time with the children and is waiting to father one very soon.

The Feast of Love has been established years ago on private donations led by the president of the Association Vryseon Anabrytis, Mr. George Katsichtis, Neptune Diner and the owners of the White Tower. The food this year was provided by Neptune Diner.

Secretary General of the Federation Mr. Galatoulas opened the event by presenting the evening’s programme and thanking everyone who has contributed to the organization and the volunteers who worked hard for a successful outcome.

President of the Federation, Mr. Tsekeridis extended a brief but warm greeting, thanking on his behalf the donators and everyone who participated in the event.

The press conference of the Federation at the General Consulate of Greece in NY on Tuesday, January 3, was featured in all major media sources. The master of this year’s parade, Senator Robert Menendez, was also officially announced.
