Upcoming Christmas Events for the Greek Community of NY

The Greek Community of New York welcomes the coming Christmas Holidays with a series of different events appealing to all ages and tastes.

On Wednesday, December 7, exhibition on “Transition to Christianity” opens its gates to the public until May 14, 2012. Art of late antiquity will be featired in the exhibition at the Alexander S. Onassis center of New York. It’s jointly organized by the Onassis Foundation (USA) and the Byzantine and Christian Museum in Athens. 645 Fifth Avenue, Suite 304, New York, N.Y.

On Monday, December 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the Annual Christmas Party will be hosted at Lafayette Grill & Bar (in Tribeca, 54 Franklin St.). Buffet, dessert and cocktails will be served.

On Thursday, December 15, at 
6:00 p.m., Senior Producer of Anderson Cooper 360, Penny Manis will host a media event “Breaking News: What Goes Into Producing Media In Real Time”. The Officers and Directors of The Hellenic American Bankers Association are hosting the event

Lastly, on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., the St. Basil Academy Greek Orthodox Home for Children in Need located in Garrison, NY, will be presenting its annual Christmas Open House & Pageant. The children and staff invite you to join in the celebrations.
