Transfiguration Grecian Festival 2011 in Massachusetts

Through the weekend 24-26 June, visitors to historic Lowell in Massachusetts will be able to participate in everything Greek and enjoy an exciting cultural experience. The annual festival celebrates the Transfiguration of the Greek Orthodox Church and as part of the significant event, there are guided tours of the church interior, where visitors can see the hand-crafted mosaic iconography.

The weekend-long festival offers something for everyone. From Greek wine tasting, a 5K road race, live Greek music and dancing to impressive cooking demonstrations where everyone can learn how to cook traditional Greek food. There’s also chance to just browse or shop around the village marketplace for low-priced goods and tasty food items.

Adnission and parking are free and everyone welcome .

Times: Friday – 5pm – 10pm, Saturday – 11am – 11pm and Sunday – 12pm – 6pm
