Huffington Post Slammed with Bloggers’ Lawsuit

The “iron lady” of media, Ariana Huffington, two months after the golden deal with AOL, has got into legal trouble. An ex-blogger of the “Huffington Post” appealed to the courts saying that more than one hundred million dollars from its purchase needs to be given to the unpaid bloggers of the site.

The lawsuit, which was deponed to the federal court of Manhattan from the ex-blogger of the site Jonathan Tassini, requests on behalf of all the bloggers, the economic recognition of their work. As Jonathan Tassini states, from the 315 million dollars of the purchase of “Huffington Post” to AOL, at least 105 million dollars has to be given to the unpaid bloggers.

A “Huffington Post” representative states that he hasn’t yet studied the lawsuit, but he characterized the charges totally invalid. “Our bloggers use our platform to be connected and to be sure that their ideas and their opinions will be read by many people. It is exactly the same reason people go to TV talk shows to express their opinions” underlined Mario Ruiz.
