Judge Helen Voutsinas Sworn in as District Court Judge, Nassau, N.Y.

Helen Voutsinas resumed her official duties as a District Court Judge last Tuesday. The induction ceremony of Helen Voutsinas took place at the Nassau County Supreme Court of New York state. Judge Voutsinas was presented by New York State Comptroller Tom Di Napoli, who praised her qualities and dedication to justice. After taking the oath, Helen Voutsinas thanked her parents and her husband as well as everybody who helped her get elected last November.  She received 104,000 votes in Hempstead and Long Beach.
The ceremony was attended by fellow Greek-American Nassau County Comptroller (a Republican) George Maragos, Bishop Savas of Troas, Fr. Luke Melachrinos of St. Paul Hempstead, Fr. George Stavropoulos of Holy Trinity Hicksville and prominent Greek- Americans of Long Island, including many Cephalonians.
