Autopsies Confirm Greek Couple was Murdered, Tarpon Springs, FL

Autopsies performed Wednesday revealed that a Tarpon Springs Greek couple found dead in their burning home were murdered, authorities stated.
Steve and Flora Georgiou did not show any signs of smoke inhalation and were dead before the fire was set, according to the autopsies done by the Pinellas County Medical Examiner
Flora Georgiou, 78, and her husband, Steve Georgiou, 83, were found inside their home on Chesapeake Drive shortly after emergency crews arrived to fight a fire.
“Steve and Flora Georgiou were murdered prior to the setting of the fire, as the autopsy did not show any signs of smoke inhalation,” said Captain Jeffrey Young.
The Georgious owned Anclote Marine Ways, a boat repair company, and Miss Milwaukee Fishing Co., a deep-sea fishing party boat founded in 1947 that is one of the oldest businesses at the Sponge Docks.
Of the Georgious’ three children, Stephanie, George and Art, Vatikiotis said: “They’re doing the best that they can.”
