Obama Visits Chicago To Endorse Giannoulias

President Barack Obama arrived in Chicago today to attend a fundraiser for Alexi Giannoulias, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate. President Obama was greeted at O’hare Airport by city and state leaders, including Mayor Richard Daley, Gov. Pat Quinn, Congressman Mike Quigley and 10th district congressional candidate Dan Seals. He then boarded Marine One and headed downtown.

Obama spoke first about the Republican verses Democratic campaign, and how he’s tired of the banter. Obama also defended his declining popularity in the country including his home town of Chicago.
For Giannoulias, the presidential visit will raise money for more television commercials. Next week First Lady Michelle Obama will fundraise for Giannoulias as well.
