A celebration of the Greek culture will take place, the well-known Omaha Greek Festival. There one can find wonderful Greek foods, drink Greek wine, enjoy Greek dancers, listen to Greek music.
The annual celebration of all things Greek will be at Lewis & Clark Landing downtown on the riverfront.
Visitors will have the opportunity to taste the traditional souvlaki with tzatziki sauce, gyros with tzatziki sauce, marinated chicken with tzatziki sauce, Greek salad, spanakopita (spinach and cheese pie), tiropita (cheese pie) and baklava. A variety of Greek beverages also will be available.
Greek folk dances will be performed by dance groups ranging in age from kindergartners to adults from St. John Greek Orthodox Church.
