The Statue of Liberty in New York finally met her mate, ‘The Union of the World’ in Miami.  Now, these two are the most significant symbols of freedom and peace in America. ‘The Union of the World’ will become a landmark for the City of Miami, admired by thousands of people from all over the world.

The monument was created by Gines Serran and was sponsored by Greek-American Real estate legend Evangeline Goulettas.

Dr. Stylianos Vayanos, PR & Marketing VP of SkyPalace, opened the ceremony on the 23rd of January for the unveling of the magnificent bronze sculpture by internationally acclaimed artist Ginés Serrán  in Mary Brickell Village, Miami. This larger than life work of art named “The Union of the World: Monument to World Peace,” is not only the world’s largest bronze sculpture of Classical Mythology but also a declaration of peace.

Unveiling_StatueGThe sculpture illustrates the “pillars of Hercules”.  According to Greek mythology, Hercules separated the pillars and therefore divided Europe from Africa.  On the contrary, Serrán’s masterpiece depicts Hercules uniting the pillars as a symbol of global unity and peace. Many spectators were present and eagerly watched as Tomás P. Regalado, the Honorable Mayor of the City of Miami, artist Ginés Serrán and Dr. Dame Evangeline Gouletas, Former First Lady of New York State and renowned real estate developer, participated in unveiling of this historical monument.  Several VIPs attended the event to support this major cause. Princess Renate, D.Santiago Cabanas Ansorena the Consul General of Spain, Antonios Sgouropoulos the Consul General of Greece, and Patrick E. Rea the Grand Commander of Templars International to name a few. Mayor Regalado presented the artist with the Key to the City of Miami for his artistic and humanitarian contributions to the world.

Real estate legend and philanthropist Evangeline Gouletas is the mastermind behind the event. The CEO of Skyline Equites Realty sponsored the creation of the statue and organised the ceremony. If it wasn’t for her efforts; this glorious monument would not be standing majestically in the exclusive Brickell Village, one of the most coveted pieces of land in Florida. When first introduced to Ginés Serrán, Evangeline was moved by his artwork and touched by his dedication to peace. As a Board Member of UNICEF, Evangeline has long served as an advocate of world peace. Synonymous with Evangeline’s belief in world peace and unity, the concept of bridging the ancient with modern times, and an appreciation of all cultures of the world; this monument will stand tall eternally signifying World Peace.
