What exactly is a gyros? Well, aside from it being one of Chicago’s most popular sandwiches, it’s made with selected beef, beef and lamb or chicken meat seasoned with zesty spices, thinly sliced and piled high onto a fluffy handmade flatbread pita. A traditional gyros sandwich is topped with onions and tomatoes, as well as a flavorful, creamy cucumber sauce called tzatziki.
