Literature Journal Features Greek-Australian Female Poets and Writers

The Greek-Australian Cultural League of Melbourne has launched the 57th edition of the annual literary and arts magazine Antipodes on Sunday, 2 October 2011.

This year’s feature is dedicated to Greek-Australian female poets and writers, a subject covered and presented by academics who provide some inspirational articles, such as Mrs. Eleni Nika, Mrs. Erma Vasiliou, Mr. George Kanarakis and Mrs. Konstantina Douni.

Also in this issue the usual submitted works by members and friends of the Greek-Australian Cultural League are published, as are the works of the artists who took place in the Art Exhibition in June this year.

Eleni Nikas, former university lecturer and publisher, was the one responsible for launching this year’s issue of the Antipodes periodical.

During the simple event the winners of the annual Literary Competition were also awarded.
