About Maria Athens

Maria Athens is a Greek American from San Francisco. She obtained her B.A. degree in Political Science & M.A. degree in Diplomacy & International Relations at the John C. Whitehead School of Diplomacy & International Relations at Seton Hall University. During Graduate school she interned for CNN at The United Nations Headquarters in NYC and The Greek Press & Information Office for The United Nations & Consulate General of Greece, during Greece's term on the Security Council. After a year in Washington, D.C. at The Committe of Concerned Journalists, Athens followed her dream and moved to Athens. In addition to being a reporter, she also works as an International Marketing Executive.
