Multiple casualties are being reported from another high-school shooting in the U.S.
At least eight people died on Friday at the hands of a male student at the Sante Fe school in Texas, about 30 miles (48 kilometers) southeast of Houston. It is feared the death toll could rise.
The suspected shooter is now in police custody.
According to police, most of the dead are students. At least one police officer was also wounded.

It is the deadliest assault on a school in the U.S. since 17 people lost their lives in February’s gun attack on Marjory Stoneman Douglas school in Florida.
Friday’s incident is also the 22nd such shooting in the U.S. this year.
