NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said that Giannis Antetokounmpo not only made a difference for the Milwaukee Bucks but for the whole of NBA.
“Giannis Antetokounmpo’s beloved around the world. It’s huge for the league,” Silver said in an interview.
He said that Giannis has fans in his birthplace Nigeria and by extension the whole of Africa, and also in his adopted country of Greece and by extension the whole of Europe.
The Bucks’s star is “not only a wonderful player but he is also a fantastic young man. He does wonders for Milwaukee.”
Silver said Giannis “wants to win and he seems to love this community. Everything seems to be going just right.”
On Thursday Antetokounmpo put up another magnificent performance with 31 points and 14 rebounds for the Bucks and forced game seven in their first round play-off clash against the Boston Celtics after a 97-86 win.
