Giannis Antetokounmpo to Star in Hellenic Tourism Organization Ad Campaign

Giannis Antetokounmpo is to star in a new Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT) advertising campaign aimed at attracting more U.S. visitors to Greece, an Athens Macedonia News Agency report says.

Greece’s Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura – who is currently in New York for an investment forum – wrote on Twitter that Antetokounmpo will participate in the new EOT advertising campaign aimed at boosting tourism from the U.S. market.

The U.S. market is particularly important for Greek tourism, as the number of U.S. visitors in 2017 has been 40% higher than last year, reaching 1 million tourists. Industry experst say that there is potential for 2 million American tourists to visit Greece every year.

In this direction, the American Society of Travel Agents conference will be held in Athens on April 14-17, 2018. It is expected to attract interest from hundreds of U.S. travel agents who will travel to the Greek capital to attend and get in touch with Greek tourism professionals.
