2,000 Boston Greek Americans Turn Celtics-Bucks Game into Celebration of Greece (video)

About 2,000 Greeks turned the Boston Celtics – Milwaukee Bucks NBA game into a Greek celebration, with Giannis Antetokounmpo scoring 40 points, not enough to give his team a win.

Milwaukee lost 111-100, but Boston Greek Americans didn’t seem to care much as they were there to cheer the Greek basketball phenomenon that goes by the name of Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The evening had a strong Greek flavor, as the hosts dedicated the game to the Greek tradition. About 2,000 Greeks were in the stands, waving dozens of blue and white flags. At half time, there was a show with tsoliades dancing on the parquet and Greek music.

Antetokounmpo’s contribution to the “Greek night” was an amazing performance with 40 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists.
