Giannis Antetokounmpo on Tuesday “rewarded” many lucky Cleveland Greeks by singing Greece’s national anthem with them after scoring 40 points against the Cavaliers.
The Milwaukee Bucks had a difficult night at Cleveland as LeBron James was determined to lead the home team to a much-needed win. And, indeed, they managed to beat the Bucks 124-119, despite the fact that Antetokounmpo scored an impressive 40 points, adding to his unmatched statistics.
Other than the 40 points, the Greek Freak won 9 rebounds, gave 3 assists and made 4 blocks against the Cavaliers.
But it was not enough, as James scored 30 points, Kevin Love scored 32 and the Cavaliers finally won after a game that hung in the balance until the last buzzer.
After the game, the Cleveland Greeks who went to see superstar Giannis and were patient enough to wait for him at the stands, were in for an unexpected treat: Giannis was photographed with them and they all sang Greece’s national anthem together.
