Turkish President Erdogan’s Security Remove U.S. Protesters in New York (video)

Security personnel of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan violently removed protesters from the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York where he was speaking.

This incident happened four months after Erdogan’s personal guard beat protesters outside the Turkish ambassador’s residence in Washington.

Erdogan is in New York for the UN General Assembly.  According to U.S. media, while the Turkish president was addressing a Turkish-American organization, people protested the death of American national Michael Israel, who was killed by Turkish warplanes while fighting the Islamic State in Raqqa, Syria on the side of Kurd fighters.

During Erdogan’s speech, one protester shouted, “You are a terrorist”.  Followers of the Turkish president and his security men rushed to violently remove the protesters.  One of the protesters was carrying a banner for the Kurds who are fighting the Islamic State in Syria.

According to the Associated Press, U.S. national Robert Renas Amos, who fought with Syrian Kurds against IS, went to the hotel to protest the death of his friend and co-fighter Michael Israel. He said that the men who attacked him and others were dressed in black, which is the color of Erdogan’s security guards.
