Hellenic American Association for Professionals in Finance to Honor Alexander Navab as Executive of the Year


On the Occasion of its 35th Anniversary, the Hellenic American Association for Professionals in Finance (HABA) will honor Alexander Navab, Partner & Head of Americas Private Equity at KKR & Co. L.P. as its 2017 Executive of the Year.

The event is to take place on Thursday, May 18th, 2017 at the Union League Club of New York. A cocktail reception will take place from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by a seated dinner during which Mr. Navab will be honored. Dignitaries
will be in attendance as guests of honor.

Since 1992, HABA has honored prominent Greek American Executives in
business, private and public sectors who have distinguished
themselves. Mr. Navab has been with KKR since 1993 and serves as the
Chair of the Americas Private Equity Investment Committee, and also as
the Chair of the Americas Portfolio, as well as serving on KKR’s
Special Situations Investment Committee. Prior to joining KKR, Mr.
Navab was with James D. Wolfensohn Incorporated where he was involved
in mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate finance advisory
work.

He received a B.A. with honors, Phi Beta Kappa, from Columbia College,
and an M.B.A. with High Distinction, Baker Scholar, Wolfe Award, from
Harvard Business School. In 2011, Mr. Navab received the John Jay
Award for distinguished professional achievement from Columbia
College. In 2016, he was awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.

Mr. Navab is actively involved in philanthropic, educational,
community and national organizations, serving as a member of the Board
of Trustees at New York-Presbyterian Hospital; a member of the Board
of Directors at The Robin Hood Foundation; a member of the Board of
Visitors at Columbia College; Co-Chair of the National Council of
American Enterprise Institute (AEI); a member of the Board of Trustees
at The Buckley School in New York; a member of the Council on Foreign
Relations; and a member of the Board of Dean’s Advisors at Harvard
Business School; and on the Executive Committee at The Hellenic
Initiative (a non-profit organization supporting economic renewal in
Greece through philanthropy, entrepreneurship and economic
investment). HABA is delighted and privileged to honor such an
accomplished professional.
